Crews called to fire in house in Whiteley

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in a roof this morning.

Crews from Cosham, Fareham and Portchester were among those called to a house in Shire Close, Whiteley, just after 3am.

The roof was ‘completely damaged’ according to those on scene but all house occupants were able to escape and there were no injuries.

A spokesman from Cosham Fire Station said: ‘We were called to a house fire in Whiteley just after 3am this morning.

‘The fire was only in the roof but it has been completely damaged.

Crews from Hightown, Botley and St Marys also attended.
