FIREFIGHTERS and the RSPCA were called to help a crow after it became stuck in netting.

The fire crew from Fareham arrived at the scene at Western Court, West Street, Fareham, at 10.10am yesterday and used a ladder to reach the bird.

A member of public had spotted the crow after it got its foot stuck in netting on the third floor of a block of flats.

An officer from the RSPCA checked the bird over and made sure it was not injured, before releasing it.

The crow flew off at 11.50am.
