Maria Miller MP will be in Portsmouth to speak at the Local Government Association’s two-day Culture, Tourism and Sport conference at the Guildhall.

Other speakers at the conference will include Portsmouth City Council’s leader, Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson.

Areas such as working with veterans and intergenerational projects such as those at the D-Day Museum in Southsea will be discussed.

The University of Portsmouth, the Mary Rose Museum and Portsmouth Football Club will also be used as case studies and examples during the sessions.

More than 150 delegates are expected. After the conference, Mrs Miller will be taken on a tour of New Theatre Royal in Guildhall Walk.
