Joy for campaigners as oil drillers are told to leave South Downs National Park

PEOPLE will be rolling up their sleeves and helping to maintain a beauty spot this weekend.

The Friends of Park Wood in Waterlooville will be having a work day on Sunday.

The session starts at 10am at the woods, off London Road.

Then, next Wednesday, there will be the annual social meeting at the Baptist Church Hall opposite the Woodpecker pub, in London Road, Waterlooville.

The speaker will be Andrew Shaxson, who is chairman of the South Downs National Park planning committee. The meeting is a 7pm for 7.30pm start.
