A STRAY dog service has been rated as gold for the sixth year running.

Fareham and Gosport’s Stray Dog Service, run by both Fareham and Gosport councils, received the accolade in the RSPCA’s Community Animal Welfare Footprints awards.

Fareham’s executive member for public protection, Cllr Trevor Cartwright, said: ‘It’s fantastic to see that the hard work that is put in by our dog control officers has been recognised.’
