THE Isle of Wight’s Retired Greyhound Trust is urging people to register their pooch for the organisation’s mass dog walk along Southsea waterfront.

The event is open to any breed, and usually sees around 80 dogs take part, raising around £1,000 for the trust.

The animal care group will also bring greyhounds which need rehoming and give potential owners a chance to walk them.

And if those interested in adopting one of them have a home check before the walk, they could take their new pet home with them afterwards.

The six-mile trot starts at 2pm from Eastney swimming pool on April 17. Call 01983 300332 or 07933 785696.
