A CARING uncle is raising money for the neonatal ward at QA Hospital by selling space on the bonnet of his sports car.

Chris Pye, from Portchester, is fundraising for Ickle Pickles, a charity which raises money to buy specialist equipment for prematurely-born babies.

Chris said: ‘My twin nephews were born at 26 weeks, if it wasn’t for QA then they wouldn’t be with us. They are three in October and we are so grateful. It’s our way of giving back and saying thanks.’

The car will be making an appearance at the Titchfield Carnival in October.

Chris has raised £550 so far. There are still spaces available to buy. Call 07774 649883 or email to make a donation.
