VOLUNTEERS are needed to help drive charity shop donations through the roof.

Salvation Army shops across the area are appealing for volunteer drivers to help collect donations from people who are unable to bring them to the shops themselves.

Donations could include small, portable furniture, bric-a-brac, homeware and clothing.

Drivers, who will need to be able to drive a van, would be required to make pre-arranged house calls organised by the shop teams and transport the donations back to one of the designated shops.
