THE Duchess of Cambridge is to visit Portsmouth to see Olympic hero Sir Ben Ainslie’s new racing base.

The Duchess will visit the base at the Camber Docks in Old Portsmouth and the headquarters of the 1851 Trust.

She will then view the America’s Cup base from the top of the Spinnaker Tower.

Kate, who is a Royal Patron of the 1851 Trust which is supported by Ben Ainslie Racing, will visit the city on Thursday, February 12.

The 1851 Trust aims to inspire and engage a new generation through sailing and the marine industry.
