IT HAS been an incredible few weeks of fundraising for Elizabeth Humphries '“ but she has no intention of slowing down.

Elizabeth, who lives in Bridgemary, Gosport, has been raising money for The Big Match, a charity that helps to fund The Brain Tumour Charity and Action For Children.

For the past few weeks, she has been holding charity garden sales, which she says have been very successful.

However, Elizabeth is now setting her sights even higher, with plans set in stone to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower on August 5.

She said: ‘This is the first time I have done an abseil, but I did a skydive last year.

‘It is just something that my niece and I thought we should do.

‘I am really excited, our national charity figure is at £57,000 so it would be nice to hit £60,000.

‘The Big Match splits the money between the two charities – we have recently heard that The Brain Tumour Charity has helped three children’s parents to get their kids the treatment they need.’
