SHOPPERS are in for a festive treat when they visit Gunwharf Quays tomorrow.

Members of Family Church, which is based in London Road, North End, will wow crowds with festive songs and carols in the main square of the shopping centre.

A street dance group and a live band from the church will also perform at the event, which will take place between 6.30pm and 9.15pm.

Hampshire police chiefs and the Lord Mayors’ of Portsmouth, Gosport and Havant will also make an appearance.

The Family Church has hosted the annual show for the past four years.

In previous years the Christmas celebration has been held at Portsmouth Guildhall Square and at the Mountbatten Centre in Alexandra Park.

The church’s events manager Mark Smith said: ‘It’s our way of giving something back to the city. It will be a nice treat for people whilst they’re out shopping in Gunwharf.

‘We hope families will come together and have a great time.’
