Five fire engines sent to Havant shop after reports of ‘burning smell’

FIRE crews from four stations were sent out after reports of a ‘burning smell’ in a shop on Baybridge Road in Havant.

Firefighters were sent from Havant, Emsworth, Cosham and Portchester after receiving a call at 11am.

It followed reports of an electrical burning smell at the One Stop store.

A statement from Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: ‘Upon investigation and with the use of thermal imaging cameras crews found the source of the burning smell coming from an air conditioning unit.
