LOCAL produce took centre stage as hundreds of people attended a village market.
Wickham Square was buzzing for the Taste of Wickham event as people mingled around the many stalls, which were selling local food and drink.
There were demonstrations, arts and crafts and live music to entertain visitors.
Martin Bazeley, proprietor of Southwick Brewhouse, sold his ales at the event.
‘There was a great atmosphere,’ he said.
‘The sun was not shining but there were still lots of people.
‘Businesses in Wickham have a gazebo and promote their own produce.’
He added: ‘There’s a great interest in buying locally – food and drink and, in our case, beer – because it’s not travelled a great distance.’
