EQUIPPING a physiotherapy room for a football club will be one of the projects paid for by a cash windfall.

West Sussex County Council is handing out a total of £11,500 to community schemes, including £3,000 to Chichester City and Portfield United Football Club for new physiotherapy facilities.

Selsey Seals Football Club will get £1,500 towards the cost of a turnstile, lighting, printing machine and play equipment. People in Forestside, near Rowlands Castle, and West Marden will benefit from £500 towards the cost of an awareness campaign for a heart defibrillator.

Margaret Evans, chairwoman of south Chichester local committee, which bestows the grants, said: ‘We are delighted to have been able to help more fantastic local 

‘It is wonderful to reach so many different people.’
