AN INDIAN takeaway is gearing up for its annual fundraiser.

Gandhi Indian Takeaway, in Anjou Crescent, Fareham holds an annual charity night, donating all the money raised from the evening towards the mayor’s chosen charities.

This year the mayor of Fareham. Cllr Susan Bayford is supporting The Rainbow Centre, Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and RDA Tradissar.

Owner Abu-Suyeb Tanzam said: ‘It’s especially important after hearing about the struggles The Rainbow Centre are facing and how the charity may soon come to an end.

‘Therefore we are trying our best to raise as much money as possible for the centre.’

Former Portsmouth footballers Linvoy Primus and Darren Moore will also be at the event.

Gandhi Indian Takeaway will be holding the fundraiser on Monday, May 12, between 5pm and 11pm.
