RESIDENTS are being encouraged to train outside for National Outdoor Fitness Day.
British Military Fitness (BMF), an outdoor fitness company, is encouraging the people of Portsmouth to improve their lifestyle by joining their free fitness session at Southsea Common
The session will take place at 9.30am on Saturday, May 30.
Now in its second year, National Outdoor Fitness Day is designed to raise awareness of the benefits of outdoor exercise and to encourage people of all ages to enjoy physical activity in the fresh air.
Harry Sowerby, managing director of British Military Fitness, said: ‘People often associate exercise with slogging away in a stuffy gym, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
‘There are so many fun ways to get involved in exercise in the great outdoors, whether that’s going on a walk around the park, riding a bike or taking part in an outdoor exercise class.’
BMF, founded in 1999, holds group exercise sessions led by real, military-trained professionals.
