A GROUP of friends raised nearly £700 for The Katie Piper Foundation by taking part in this year’s Great South Run.

Emma Bray, 32, of Portsmouth, teamed up with friends Sara and Kate Cocard and George Turner.

Together they raised £682 for the charity which provides support for people living with burns and scars.

Emma said: ‘I’m so pleased that we were able to support The Katie Piper Foundation by running the Great South Run last weekend.

‘We really enjoyed the challenge of completing the 10-mile race for such an amazing cause and would like to thank everyone who supported us.’

Carol Borwick, head of fundraising, added: ‘We’re truly grateful. The money raised will help us make a difference to burns survivors through life-changing treatments and workshops.’
