The Cowplain couple, who had known each other for years, tied the knot earlier this year after for years of dating.

Pete, 40, says: ‘I proposed on Christmas Eve 2018. I was quietly confident she would say yes.

‘We have four kids between us so we made time to have a night alone afterwards and I cooked a nice meal.’

The couple had a timeline of a year to plan their beautiful wedding and they didn’t find it all that difficult because of Dulcie’s connections.

‘Dulcie works at Elegance Bridal Coiffure in Waterlooville with her mum and has done for years,’ explains Pete.

‘She knows the industry inside out so it was pretty smooth sailing when it came to planning.’

They held their reception at the Brookfield Hotel, Emsworth, with an additional 30 guests.

Pete smiles and says: ‘I think my favourite part of the day was getting picked up in a Volkswagen campervan, which was a complete surprise.

‘I loved being surrounded by friends and family,’ adds Dulcie.
