Friends to row the Atlantic

THE GRANDSON of a city coroner is embarking

Oli Glanville is gearing up to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic with an old school friend, George Randell.

The pair of 22-year-olds – who have nicknamed themselves the ‘Oardinary Boys’ – will complete the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK and Against Malaria Foundation.

On December 12, the friends will find themselves vulnerable to huge waves, storms and even great white shark attacks when they begin the journey from the Canary Islands to Antigua.

It comes eight years after Oli’s grandfather John, from Emsworth, died after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
