DELICIOUS preserves and beautiful flowers made for a great Denmead Show.
Hundreds of people enjoyed themselves on Saturday at the show organised by Denmead Horticultural Society.
Lynda Glenister, who is the treasurer for the show, said: ‘It went really quite well.
‘It rained in the afternoon but it didn’t dampen the experience.
‘Entries were 25 per cent up on last year with many first-time exhibitors.
‘The standard of floral art was exceptional with Maureen Simpson winning three trophies.
‘The RHS Banksian Medal went to Sue Cox.
‘And the Sprake family won four medals in adults and childrens categories.
‘It was brilliant because it was the first time any of them had entered.
‘It was a great day.’
