IT’S become the event that marks the start of the festive season.
So hundreds of people turned out to the first day of the Victorian Festival of Christmas at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.
Actors from the Groundlings Theatre dressed in Victorian outfits and there was a snow machine to give an authentic Christmas feel.
Stalls sold festive treats and gifts.
But one of the highlights for many was the Frozen sing-a-long. Tickets to the screening of the Disney blockbuster sold out and many youngsters turned up dressed up as characters from the film.
Julie Page, 60, from Denmead brought along her two-year-old grandaughter Macey Immins, who was dressed as Ana.
Julie said: ‘She’s addicted to Frozen and we wanted to see the Christmas festival as well. It was well worth the money.’
