A FUN day has been organised in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Four friends – two prison officers, a firefighter and a retired paramedic – have been organising fundraising events for the past four years.

This Saturday will see traditional country fair games alongside trial diving, Land Rover rides and a demonstration by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service at Purbrook Park School, in The Dale.

Dave Sheppard, from the group, said: ‘Every year the event we hold gets bigger and bigger.

‘This year we will have a motorbike ride out and the Mayor of Havant will be there just after midday to watch them all off.

‘It’s going to be a great day and hopefully we will raise plenty of money for the air ambulance.’

The fun begins at 11am and continues until 4pm.

There are still spaces for anyone who would like a stall at the event.

Entry to the fun day is free of charge.
