PROJECTS to help people with a learning disability or autism in West Sussex could receive council funding.

The Learning Disabilities Partnership Board is offering cash to applicants offering new, innovative and creative initiatives.

Funding is available for one year and organisations can apply for a learning disability grant and/or an autistic spectrum disorder grant.

Graham Tyler, co-chairman of the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board, said: ‘This is a chance for some truly innovative schemes or new approaches towards adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

‘We have seen some truly outstanding applications in previous years that have helped to enhance lives and we hope this tradition will be carried on during this year’s funding round.’

The deadline for applications is 5pm on January 6.
