A CAKE and coffee morning will be held to raise money for a cancer sufferer from Portsmouth.

After being diagnosed with bowel cancer in October last year, Emma Brewer, 33, was told by doctors that she will not survive.

Her sister-in-law, Emma Carpenter, is holding the cake and coffee morning to help Emma fulfil her goal of a Las Vegas wedding.

The mother-of-three originally wanted to marry her husband Andy in the Nevada city but, due to family commitments, held a smaller ceremony in this country.

Her family hopes to raise enough to help Emma realise her dream.

At the event, people will be provided with cake and coffee for £5 as well as the chance to indulge in a pin-up makeover, with full make-up and hair, and have their picture taken for a donation of £10.

All the proceeds will go towards helping Emma and Andy renew their vows abroad and a reception for her return home to the UK.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 7 at The Chocolate Lounge in Copnor Road, Portsmouth from 9am to midday.
