The winners were honoured at an evening at the Assembly Rooms in Chichester.

He said: ‘It was a wonderful evening and it was excellent to see such a high standard of gardens and commitment by the residents to make their communities brighter.’

The winners for best front garden were Mrs Bethell, of Chichester, and Ms Shackleton and Mr Bradley, of Selsey. For best back garden the winners were Mr Mantell, of Chichester, and Ms Moss, of Emsworth.
