ENTREPRENEUR Annie Sloan will be making a guest appearance at a forthcoming garden show.

Ms Sloan, creator of Chalk Paint decorative paint, will be one of a dozens of experts and exhibitors taking part in The Garden Show, at Stansted Park, near Havant.

The three-day show starts on Friday.

Ms Sloan will be supporting Caroline Ivory, founder of interiors store Ivory&Pitch in Westbourne, near Emsworth.

During the weekend, the team will be holding masterclass paint demonstrations in the marquee, showing ways to transform furniture.

They will talk about the many decorative paint techniques including, distressing, stencilling, and decoupage.

Ms Sloan said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining this wonderfully creative team at the beautiful and historical setting of Stansted Park.

‘It’s not very often that I’m able to come to an event like this on my home turf and chat with my stockists’ customers.

‘It’s always a pleasure to share in the pleasure and simplicity of my paint, as I am always inspired by the different ways that decorative painting is being explored.’

Ms Ivory said: ‘We’re so pleased to have the opportunity to take our paints out of the studio to Stansted.

‘We are especially thrilled that Annie is joining us to meet our local customers and pass on her knowledge. We hope to inspire show-goers over the weekend.’

The garden show is now in its 21st year.

There will be more than 300 stands, including plants, gifts, arts and craft, country food and wine, activities and entertainment, and local charities.

The park’s ancient chapel will be brimming with flower arrangements from Emsworth Afternoon Flower Club in aid of Macmillan Nurses.

Gates open at 10am on Friday and through the weekend with last entry at 4pm.
