FOR most people the thought of libraries conjures up images of rows and rows of books.
But there’s much more to Havant Library, in the Meridian Centre.
Several groups meet weekly to enjoy a chat and carry out craft projects.
On Thursdays from 10am to midday the paper and needle group meet. Over tea and coffee they enjoy making cards, knitting, embroidery and sewing.
They even make jewellery and do beading.
Librarian Julia Crook said: ‘The group was set up about two years ago by the library but since then those taking part run it themselves.
‘It is open to anyone who would like to join in, as is the Tuesday knitting club.’
Pop into the library for more details.
