TICKETS for one of the area’s biggest music festivals are about to go on sale.

Plans are already well under way to make the seventh Waterlooville Music Festival bigger and better than ever before after the organisers spent the past six months scouring concerts and gigs for the best local talent.

There will be plenty of returning favourites at the event which is held over nine days at venues across the town from June 9.

The main concerts will be based around St George’s Church but there will be performances throughout the town centre during the day as well as workshops and concerts in schools across the town.

Among the performers already confirmed are the Highbury Area Band, Havant Clarinet and Saxophone Band, Havant Area Guitar Orchestra, Solent Male Voice Choir, The Spinnaker Chorus and Denmead Brass Band.

Tickets are £6 for the evening concerts and £7 for the Last Night of the Proms. Buy them at from February 1.
