Parents praise nursing teams who cared for Crookhorn teenager who died of cancer

A YOUNG girl has been praised for remaining calm when she was rescued from a trapped lift by firefighters.

A crew from Gosport Fire Station went to Garland Court, in Forton Road, yesterday at 7.40pm. The lift was stuck on the first floor of the 10-storey block with the nine-year-old trapped inside. Firefighters freed the girl by 8.15pm after her parents called for help.

They praised her for staying calm.
