Gosport and Fareham firefighters tackle blaze at Alver Valley Country Park

Crews from Gosport and a Land Rover from Fareham were called at 12.25pm to the fire which spread across an area of gorse near the car park.
A spokesman from Hampshire Fire Control said: ‘We were called at 12.25pm to a fire in near a car park of Alver Valley Country Park.

Hide Ad‘We sent two crews from Gosport and a Land Rover from Fareham. The fire has now been surrounded and the stop message has come in.’
Four beaters and four napsack pumps were used to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
