POP stars enjoyed a tasty treat whipped up by a Gosport firm after it was chosen to cater for an awards night.
Karen Hemmings, 52, and her colleague Jenny McKay, 28, rubbed shoulders with celebrities including Pixie Lott, Little Mix and Naughty Boy at the pre-Brit Awards party last Thursday.
‘We were very pleased to be booked for the pre-Brit Awards party,’ said Karen, the owner of Chocolate Fountain Heaven based in Gosport.
‘It was really nice and all the people were talking to us and they were really lovely.’
The pair travelled to Wood Green in London for the event held at Mosaica restaurant where they also met singer-songwriter Conor Maynard.
Karen added: ‘We had a great night and met Labrinth, James Arthur, Little Mix, Conor Maynard, Pixie Lott, Etta Bond just to name drop a few people.
‘We were having a laugh and a joke with Conor Maynard and having a chat with Labrinth.
‘Everyone was bubbling and it was really loud and exciting.’
For Jenny, who has been training with Karen, it was the first big job she had done and she is now working regularly with the company.
The two served the guests from a 40ins chocolate fountain, taking time to chat to the guests as they came up.
The fountain was well received by party-goers who had a choice of several dipping foods including doughnuts, strawberries, marshmallows, grapes, cookies and pineapple pieces.
This was not the first big event Chocolate Fountain Heaven has catered for since opening.
Previous clients have included the BBC, Wimbledon Tennis Club, BMW, and Capital Radio.
In 2009 the company catered a private screening of Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince for a top city law firm at London’s O2 arena.
The next big event will be at the Royal Holloway, University of London, which the company has been working with for nine years.
Since being established in 2002, Chocolate Fountain Heaven has catered for a number of events including weddings, exhibitions and parties.
