Gosport man Marc Ward admits to string of serious sex offences against a child

A MAN from Gosport has admitted to repeatedly sexually abusing a child over a two-month period starting in October last year.

Marc Daniel Ward, formerly of Brewers Lane, has admitted to the string of serious child sex offences as he appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court today.

The 29-year-old had sexually abused a child on multiple occasions over a two-month period dating back to October.

Police were called were called at the beginning of this year, and Ward was subsequently arrested and charged with a series of offences.

These include nine counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, and one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Ward has admitted to all of the offences and is remanded in custody.

He will appear at the court for sentencing on March 26.
