GRADUATES from the National Citizen Service programme gathered together to celebrate their achievements over the summer.

A total of 54 people from Portsmouth made up the 250 graduates who celebrated at a ceremony at Winchester Guildhall.

They gathered to recognise each others’ achievements following a summer of projects in Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant and Fareham.

Projects included a charity project in Fareham to raise money for NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer Support, and a community project in Gosport, which included helping elderly people, and an arts project which brought people together in Portsmouth.

Meanwhile a conservation project group undertook conservation work at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, and worked closely with people taking part in an animal social action project.
