Organiser George Rashbrook, of SoundLevel Events, said 'This will be such a unique and exciting evening. Events like this have been a massive hit in Europe this year but we haven’t seen anything like it in the UK.
'We were devastated when we had to cancel a whole summer’s worth of live events due to the lockdown. It could be months before we’re allowed to put on traditional gigs again. We know our audiences don’t want to wait that long and we’re genuinely excited to be able to bring them some amazing live music in a safe, controlled environment.'
The event has been planned to comply with social distancing requirements. While the music will be broadcast from on-stage speakers like a conventional show, each vehicle will be given a sanitised wireless speaker so people don’t have to get out of their car.
