A FAMILY farm is set to open its doors to the public for the day.

The Jones family have been farming at Hyden Farm, Clanfield, for five generations.

On Tuesday the public will be able to take a tour of the farm, and have a go on a tractor trailor as part of the Hampshire Food Festival.

The farm, run by Richard Jones and his family, produces Longhorn and Sussex beef, South Down and Hampshire Down lamb, Saddleback and Oxford Sandy and Black pork, Aylesbury duck, Black and Bronze turkey and guinea fowl.

Mr Jones said he wants to give the public an insight into organic farming.

Places are free, but must be booked in advance by calling (023) 9263 2683 or going to hydenorganics.co.uk.

Hampshire Food Festival runs until July 31 with events across the whole county. Find out more at hampshirefare.co.uk/foodfestival.
