Despite impressing the judges, landlord Herbie Armstrong has failed to make it to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Herbie, who runs The Fountain Inn pub, Rowlands Castle, made it through to the live semi-finals of the TV show last night.

The 66-year-old took his guitar to the stage and performed Mandy by Barry Manilow.

None of the four judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff – pressed their buzzer, which shows they dislike the performance.

But Herbie was unable to secure enough audience votes to make it through to Saturday’s final.

Speaking after his performance, Herbie said: ‘That was brilliant – to be centre stage was an amazing feeling and I would like to do it over and over again.’
