FORMER Pompey striker Peter Crouch will be visiting Portsmouth to sign copies of his new book.
The current Stoke City player will be at WHSmith, in Commercial Road, to meet fans and sign their copies of How To Be A Footballer.
Crouch played for the Blues twice, in the 2001/02 season and the 2008/09 season – scoring 35 goals in his 88 appearances.
He will be returning to Portsmouth on Saturday for the book signing at 11.30am.
A description of his book said: ‘From the most colourful aspects of the game, to what really happens on and off the pitch, Crouch reveals all his best stories and strange experiences in an utterly candid and hilarious way.
‘From what Cristiano Ronaldo says when he looks at himself in the mirror in the dressing room, to footballer cars and players with so many they forget they have left a Porsche at the train station.
‘From tattoos, the team bus, post-match interviews and £250 haircuts that should have cost a tenner, Crouch brings the reader into the world of Britain’s favourite sport in his famously honest, candid and companionable way.’
The book signing is a ticketed event and the price of £21.79 includes a copy of How To Be A Footballer and meeting Crouch to get it signed.
