Have your say

THINK your gym’s simply the best? That it provides service above and beyond?

Well now you can make sure that it gets recognised in The News Gym of the Year competition.

We’re asking you, our readers, to nominate the gym in the Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire area you think should win.

Whether it has the best equipment, the cleanest changing rooms or the friendliest fitness instructors, we want you to tell us who deserves to be awarded the honour.

Mark Waldron, editor of The News, said: ‘With the new year comes a new start, so why not make it your new year’s resolution to nominate your favourite gym for an award in our competition?

‘You may already be an avid gym-goer, or it may be on your resolutions list to commit to getting fit by signing up.

‘But whatever your reasons for joining a gym, we want to know what makes yours the best.

‘Is it their great value for money? Or perhaps their opening times suit your busy lifestyle?

‘Whatever the reason, we want to hear from you.’

The competition follows on from The News’ successful competitions last year which asked readers to name their favourite pubs in the area, along with cafes and small retailers.

All you have to do to take part is complete the form printed in The News today, cut out the clip and post it to the address printed at the bottom.

The short list of your favourite gyms and fitness centres will be unveiled on Saturday, January 18 and voting to find the overall winner will take place throughout February.

The club with the most votes will win a special News prize cup.

The closing date for entries is the end of Wednesday, January 15.
