Horndean driver arrested after motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash

A truck driver from Horndean has been arrested on suspicion of causing a serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police are questioning the 49-year-old man in connection with an incident involving a black Vauxhall Zafira, a grey Audi A6, a large articulated white truck, and a motorcyle.

The incident occured on A32 by Warnford just before 7pm on Saturday.

The motorcyclist was seriously hurt in the collision and was taken to Southampton General Hospital foir treatment. 

Police closed the site of the incident on the A32 in both directions while officers investigated what happened.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: ‘We are now appealing for anyone who saw what happened or saw any of the vehicles involved shortly before the crash to contact them. 

‘We’d also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of incident.

‘They are asked to call 101 quoting Operation Junebug.’
