A JOGGER saw an unexpected visitor while out on his run early this morning.

Chris Sellars was enjoying his usual run along the coast near Clarence Pier at 5.30am when he had to do a double-take after seeing a deer – who was also enjoying the tranquil surroundings at that time of day.
With conditions warm, the deer was enjoying a drink and a paddle to cool off.

Chris said: ‘While on my run this morning at 5.30am I was running through Clarence Pier and back towards Portsmouth centre along the coastal walk when I spotted this little deer having a paddle and a drink.’
