Chris Sellars was enjoying his usual run along the coast near Clarence Pier at 5.30am when he had to do a double-take after seeing a deer – who was also enjoying the tranquil surroundings at that time of day.

Chris said: ‘While on my run this morning at 5.30am I was running through Clarence Pier and back towards Portsmouth centre along the coastal walk when I spotted this little deer having a paddle and a drink.’
