The youngster’s uncle, Surinder Singh, said he unknowingly passed his nephew’s overturned vehicle as he drove to Portchester.

On the moment he learned it was Junior involved in the incident, he told The News: ‘It was like being hit with a truck at a 100mph – I was just in total shock.

‘When I found out it was a feeling of numbness – it’s a feeling that’s there now.’

A tribute was also paid by Stewart Vaughan, the headteacher at Priory School in Southsea, which Junior used to attend.
