A WORLDWIDE Knit in Public Day will see knitting enthusiasts gather in celebration.

Knitters are invited to take part in the first event of its kind to be held in Portsmouth.

The day is organised by Elizabeth Caugh of Cosham, who has just published The Blanket Book with tips on how to use knitting for better health.

It is on Saturday from 10am to midday outside the Arts Lodge in Victoria Park, Anglesea Road, Portsmouth.

If raining, it will be moved to Central Library.
