Launch of Academy for self-confidence

AN INITIATIVE to improve the self-confidence of young people is being launched this weekend.

On Saturday, Champs Academy will be hosting a special opening event at Gosport Leisure Centre from 1pm-4.30pm.

The academy targets young people between the ages of six and 16, offering confidence coaching and life-skills lessons in and around the Gosport area.

Champs Academy coach Claire Green says that the service will be very important for young people.

She said: ‘The service will help young people to deal with self-esteem, anxiety and other confidence issues that have sadly become far too common.

‘We will teach the youngsters how to control their breathing and give them advice on how to become more confident in themselves.’
