RIGHTS for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people will be the subject of a public lecture at the University of Portsmouth on Wednesday.

Political campaigner Peter Tatchell will lead the lecture at the university’s Portland Building in Portland Street, Portsea at 6pm.

He will talk about the positive effects of last year’s legalisation of same-sex marriage as well as the homophobia and discrimination that still exist in society.

Admission is free.
