Lee Fleming, 33, and Amy Lock, 31, tied the knot in a winter wonderland-style wedding back in December after nearly 11 years together.
The couple, who first met online in 2005 and had their first date in Port Solent, got married at the Langstone Hotel, Hayling Island.
Lee proposed to Amy in New York in October, 2014 after booking the surprise trip for Amy’s 30th birthday.
The couple planned to visit the Statue of Liberty, but when they arrived they found the tickets had all sold out.
They carried on with the day and Amy says: ‘When we arrived we took a wander around and were taking photos when Lee asked me to jump on the wall for a photo.
‘He fumbled around a bit and looked to me like he was going to go down on one knee, but took the photo and I jumped down and we carried on walking.’
Lee then asked Amy to get back on the wall for more photos, but when Amy turned round Lee was on one knee with a ring in his hand and popped the question.
The couple will have been together for 11 years in June this year. Amy says the wedding was magical and the best day of their lives - apart from when their children Eloise, eight, and Charlie, four, were born.
As soon as Lee proposed, Amy started planning the wedding as it had been something she’d wanted to do since meeting Lee back in 2005.
Lee says: ‘My favourite memory from the day was seeing Amy coming down the aisle.’
Amy says: ‘Getting married was the final piece of the puzzle which has now completed our family. We now all share the same surname.’
The couple are planning to head to Mexico for their honeymoon and are looking forward to the future as both a family and as husband and wife.
