SCUBA diving is not an activity many youngsters get to try out in Fareham.
But the Summer Passport scheme gives young people the chance to try out a variety of activities throughout the summer holidays.
Over the weekend, scuba diving lessons took place at Cams Alders in Fareham.
Caryn Vaux, who helps organise the scheme, said: ‘It’s providing free activities in Fareham and Gosport for three weeks over the summer holidays.
‘The young people really enjoy it. It’s something different that they haven’t experienced before.’
Children, aged between 11 and 17, from Gosport and Fareham also take part in other activities such as fishing and archery.
Caryn added: ‘It’s giving them something positive to do. It builds their confidence and self-esteem.
‘And they are visiting different areas outside of Gosport and Fareham.’
