THE southbound M275 was closed after a car crashed into a signpost close to the Rudmore roundabout.

The accident happened at around 10.20pm last night and involved one car.

Firefighters from Cosham and Southsea along with police went to the scene.

The M275 going into Portsmouth was closed as was one lane northbound.

Police say the driver is not thought to have suffered serious injuries.
