POP singer Mariah Carey has sent a personal message to the crew of HMS Ocean after seeing their performance of her Christmas hit.

Sailors recorded their own version of All I Want For Christmas Is You to celebrate their homecoming this Friday.

As reported in The News, sailors and members of the ship’s aviation crew filmed themselves dancing around the flight deck and miming along with the words.

After someone sent pop star Mariah a link to the video on social networking website Twitter, she replied: ‘This is the best thing I’ve ever seen. You guys just made my day! Happy Christmas! x0x0 to the troops.’

The video on YouTube clocked up an extra 10,000 hits yesterday as the word spread of the sailors’ festive film.
