Gosport’s mayor will hold her carol service on Sunday.

Anyone is welcome to attend the festive event at Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Green, which begins at 6pm.

Carollers will be led by the 320-year-old venue’s choir and fully restored Handel organ.

The service will start with a procession led by the Mayor Cllr Lynn Hook and including HMS Sultan Commander Mark Hamilton, and Dr Adrian Allsopp, of the Institute of Naval Medicine, as well as aldermen and councillors.

Cllr Hook said: ‘It’s a great opportunity for some traditional Christmas fun.’
