Several people have reported sightings of Barry, a cat with three legs and no tail, at the Lakeside North Harbour complex.

Also known as Bazza, the cat from Fratton has been spotted near the lake at the rear of the Western Road business park.

He has also been seen at the rear of several buildings including 1000 Lakeside, 2000 Lakeside and IBM’s headquarters.

Animal rescue groups have raised concerns for the cat’s health in the winter months, after reports that Barry looked very thin when spotted.

Penny Parker, of Lost and Found Cats in Portsmouth, said: ‘Due to his disability we are sending members of our group out walking around the lake and leaving a little food.

‘We apologise for any inconvenience but we are being as quiet and discreet as possible not to interrupt the working day.’

People have been urged to contact Penny on (023) 9232 4086 if they see Barry at Lakeside North Harbour or the surrounding areas.
